The All Bike Race Day

Our next All Bike Race Day (ABRD) is sponsored by alphaRacingZA@Biketique and will take place at Killarney Raceway, Cape Town, on Saturday, 28th January 2012.

This info below is directed to the guys (and ladies) who will be riding in the Breakfast Run Race, Ladies Race, the Street Class in the 2-hour race, or any street rider who wants to ride in the BOTTS or Powersport class. (In other words, all our street riders.)

The Entry form and Supplementary Regulations for the ABRD on 28 Jan. MSA has approved the use of One Event Race licences for you guys, at a really good price of R100.

Please read the regs (it’s only 3 pages) as it contains most of the answers to most of the questions that you may have, but please ask if you need to know or confirm anything.

A quick summary of the process is listed below, which should answer most FAQ’s:

1.     Submit your entry form ASAP.  The details are on the top left of the entry form.

2.     Buy a One Event Race licence at the MSA office at Killarney. (They are open mornings only, for licences.) (While you are there, you might as well hand deliver your entry form to Joy at the club, and pay the race entry fee as well.)

3.     Attend the Riding School on 22 Jan, where we will have a special talk with you guys around 13h30, after the regular riding school guys have left. (The talk will cover things like what to expect on race day etc.) We will also have a few track sessions then as well, just for you guys, after the others have left. Entry to this riding school will be free, on condition that you have entered and paid your race entry fee. (You will be able to pay your race entry fee at the riding school too, if not already done by then.)

4.     Bike numbers will be issued to you guys after your entry form is received. All 2-digit bike numbers are already used by our Regional riders, so numbers 101 onwards will be issued to you guys.

Also note that if you want to race in more than one class on the day, provision has been made for this. You will pay the higher entry fee of the two classes, plus an extra R50, on condition that you use the same bike for both classes /races. Eg: It will be R450 plus R50 if you want to ride in the Breakfast Run race and Powersport, assuming that you ride a 400cc bike. The same applies if you want to do the Breakfast Run race and BOTTS, assuming that you have a twin cylinder bike. If you want to ride the 2-hour and the BR race then it will be R500 plus R50.

Don’t forget to submit your entry forms as soon as possible.

Regards

 Wayne Arendse
