You need the following to be allowed to race:
All equipment and clothing must be in a good condition and holes or tears in the leather must be properly repaired / patched. ('Duct' tape is not acceptable).
As with everything in life you require certain paperwork and documents prior to being allowed to enter a race.
Club Membership
You are required to be a member of a motoring club, which is affiliated to MSA (Motorsport South Africa). The WPMC (Western Province Motor Club) is affiliated. Various price structures are available for a member plus partner, junior members, scholars, pensioners and country members.The WPMC offices are situated at the Killarney Race Circuit and are open Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30, but close early (13:00) on Wednesday. Medical Certificate
You are required to produce a medical certificate from your doctor to confirm that you are fit to hold a competition license. Forms for this purpose is available from the MSA office, see below for contact details.As a service to the motorcyclist, we do have a doctor who is prepared to examine a future racer and issue a fitness certificate free of charge. Please make contact with the section for further information in this regard.
Licence
The Club Membership and Medical Certificate must be presented to MSA who also have their offices at the Killarney Race Circuit.You are also required to take out an accident insurance policy for cover. Should you already have a policy which covers racing, this additional cover is not required.
